I am reading this book right now that makes the back of my hairs stand up on one end when I read it. It’s eerily similar to my former relationship that I have instantly bonded with the main character primarily because I used to be in her shoes. Rosie, the main character is enamored with her celebrity boyfriend and no matter how poorly he treats her, she doesn't seem to want to break it off with him. And when she does, he becomes all sweet and loving and she would think that her love for him has already changed him. What a bunch of crap. :p
Similarly, I used to feel the same way. That he would change for me. Which is what attracted me to him in the first place. At the back of my mind, I thought he could change if I made him feel that I truly cared. I thought I would be able to get through to him. He was right. Some people never change. Before I realized that I couldn't perform miracles, it was already too late. Looking back at it now, I know there was nothing more I can do and nothing that I didn't give. The difference between Rosie and me is when I got out. Just in the nick of time.
My ex might be reading this. I am, after all still linked in his blogger. heheheh Peace tayo. :p
