He wrote to me. Never in a hundred years did I imagine him writing to me after all this time. All my past assumptions came tumbling down. It lets me know that he really did care. I can never bring it back. I thought I wanted to but out paths are too different. A year ago, I would have given half of my soul just so things would be different. My life is different now but that doesn't mean that I've forgotten. He still haunts me. Whenever I let him....
Fresh from a long and harrowing trip from the islands down south, I will now tell u two of the most sensible things I have learned during my 3d/2n vacation: 1.) MAKE RESERVATIONS , and 2.) Check the weather pages prior to going to your destination.
Day 1 for us was hell. After arriving at the island, we had a difficult time looking for a cottage primarily because it was a Saturday. We finally found something 10 minutes away from the beach front, walking along a very muddy road, with no generator (there was a blackout in Puerto when we got there). We grabbed it because we were soaking wet from the rain, tired, hungry and wanted to take a shower. Oh what luck we have! hehehe We went to the beach till we were sure that there was electricity again.
Day 2 was absolutely the best! We transferred to a better and cheaper location. There was actually a generator just in case the power went out and it was near the beachfront and surrounding bars and restos. We had a lot going on in day two: island hopping, snorkeling, sunbathing, shopping, and bar hopping. I also got a henna tat. Pretty nice! Here's what it looks like:
Also when shopping for the bros. Bar hopping at night. There isn't much nightlife in White Beach but it’s the best we can do then and there. I was informed that there were better bars in Sabang beach but vehicles traveling there are only up to 5pm. Day two was the funnest (if there is such a word. hehehe)!
Day three was another disaster for us as we were informed at 5:30 am that all boats going to Batangas port was cancelled. In a state of panic, we hurriedly packed our stuff and went to the nearest port 15 minutes away only to find out that the 6:30am boat was fully booked and there wouldn’t be another boat till 1pm. We had no choice but to take a 3-hour jeep ride on rough terrain going to the next nearest port, which is in Calapan. Fortunately, when we got there at 10:30am, we were able to book ourselves seats at the Supercat 7which will take us to Batangas port in 45 minutes (as compared to the other boats which lasts from 2-3 hours). Finally, our bus ride, which is about 3.5 hours going to Manila. Whew!! We got to our place at about 2pm. Slept a little and went to work promptly at 8pm.
Id say it was a good trip all in all. But if you guys have any sense at all, you wont do the mistake of finding a place there. If you do, make sure that it’s on a Sunday. Make sure that you don't go there off-season too. Or else you'd have a hard time getting a tan like i did. hehehe I barely got any.
