I dont want to go back yet. I still havent watched enough tv. I thought we were moving out this week, but we still needed to do a few things so we extended. Hopefully, this week will be the mother of all hell weeks. We've already done everything possible. Although I know that only divine intervention can forestall what is bound to happen, we will not give up without a fight.
Pak, this is getting too depressing.
Anyhoo, reading about Persha's lovelife definitely clanked a few bells. hehehehe Made me realize that I still havent learned from my past. Although the experience left me nothing but hurt and angst, it gave me something more valuable: the Halliwells.
Since time immemorial, I have been a fan of Chinese (and for the past few months, Japanese) cuisine. We discovered this terrific Chinese resto along the corner of Adriatico street in Malate and Nakpil Street entirely by accident. I don't remember what it was called, but they serve good food at the lowest prices. I was surprised to find that our bill was only 300 pesos including the 10% service charge for the three of us. Im not exactly plugging. Hehehehe But you have to try the beef brisket - the best! Most important of all, they serve hot Chinese herbal tea. Good for my snotty nose. :P
As usual, the week would not be complete without the usual jam session at Tia's Jupiter. At least it was a different song this time. I'm surprised that I can still manage to sing even though the slightest breath is an effort for me. My "agent" was so blissfully happy when I got back to my seat. Frankly, I was afraid that Tia's would close down sometime soon because of the frequency of my singing there. :P Voila.
For the first time, we are listening to live audio streaming. Oo, wala kasi sa bundok namin nyan eh! :P We got tired of the MP3 files that we have in my hard drive since we've been listening to it since we moved here. You have to understand that music is the only form of entertainment we have here aside from whatever we can do with 3 pc's. We have no tv and no radio since the nearby radio station (clue: kailangan pa bang i-memorize yan???) monopolized our frequency. Our landline unit even picks up the signal whenever we start calling someone! hehehehe That explains why I am deprived of television for long periods of time. Anyhoo, the more popular stations are crappy when it comes to audio streaming. But then again, that may be because I dont have a really good internet connection. I was kinda waiting for The Kid (yeah, im fond of Aussie accents. Throw in Hugh Jackman and Heath Ledger in the picture. hehehe Don't ask!) to go on air but he belongs to the morning slot. Now this takes care of our internet usage. :D

Me and my friends are going to go to confession this evening. Just a couple of hours ago, the three of us were having this debate about our beliefs. Let me tell you now that I am a heretic. I have this habit of questioning not my faith but the doctrine of the Catholic Church. I will not tell you the details -- too much explaining to do. Anyhoo, it ended up with us discussing the dawn of Christianity and its effects on women and their status in society. To make a long story short, I can forsee a the continuation of a long standing debate between me and the priest inside the confession box and the usual thousand rosary mysteries for me. hehehehehe
-----------------
It has been 4 hours since my last confession and the memory of it makes me smile. As predicted, I was caught up in a good natured debate with the young priest (I had to add young as an explanation because i think an older priest wouldnt have approved of me debating with him. hehehe) before absolution. He even laughed a little as I confessed several of my sins. I know we sortof ruined the solemnity of the sacrament but I was glad that I got off lightly. He seems to understand the plight of the youth because he himself probably went through it 3-4 years ago. It was also nice to have an intellectual discourse before I gracefully gave in and got my sins absolved. :P Tolja i dont really do things the ordinary way.
I believe that all of us have read an "Ive Learned" email at one point. A friend sent me a cynical version of "Ive Learned". Its funny but somebody with a twisted sense of humor (like me! hehehe) and who is always paranoid to boot can somehow relate to the verses.
I've learned that you cannot make
someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them and hope they panic and
give in.
I've learned that no matter how much
I care, some people are just assholes.
I've learned that it takes years
to build up trust, and it only takes
suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.
I've learned that you can get by
on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better have a big
weenie or huge boobs.
I've learned that you shouldn't
compare yourself to others - they
are more screwed up than you think.
I've learned that you can keep
puking long after you think you're
finished.
I've learned that we are responsible
for what we do, unless we are
celebrities.
I've learned that regardless of
how hot and steamy a relationship is
at first, the passion fades, and there
had better be a lot of money to take
its place.
I've learned that the people you care most
about in life are taken from you too soon
and all the less important ones just
never go away.
I find the first verse the funniest. Dont ask me why. :P
