Just want to share with ya'll the newest layout of our thesis. Its called PhilXplore.com. We dont have it up yet on any server coz some of the hosts dont offer what we need and besides, we need a free server. :P La lang, just flaunting it a little. :D
I dont know what has gotten into us. I think the air around here has gotten our brains addled or something. Since there is no other form of entertainment here in our place, we were reduced (heheheh pardon me :P) to watch Nine Mornings, a local film starring Piolo Pascual and Donita Rose. Now I am no film critic nor I claim to be a guru on cinematography and all that crap. But i didnt really like the film. Too many cliches, too trivial and lastly, i was snickering too much (it wasnt just me! :P) throughout the whole movie. I didnt entirely regret it though as I got to spend some quality time with the thesismates. End it all off with a madman driving your cab. Geez, I nearly appreciated the bastard's driving skills. :P Only in the Philippines.
In a previous post, I mentioned that cleaning a bathroom is a good form of therapy. Well this afternoon, it kinda backfired on me. :P Once again, i have summed up the courage to take the scum off the walls of our bathroom (its last cleaning was two weeks ago, by my able hands of course). I was starting to get into it when all of a sudden, somebody from the living room cum kitchen shouted that I was flooding the place. Dare I say that when I looked out, the two rooms and the living room cum kitchen was submerged in water composed of God knows what. hehehe The bastard, living up to his name, thought it was funny. SALAMAT!!!!! :P But look on the bright side, at least people wouldn't gasp at the sight of our bathroom for at least two more weeks again.
Another thing, Im wearing my cute black boxer shorts again. :D
I was supposed to write about being a repressed tv addict when all of a sudden, my monitor flickered once and then the lights were out. Being the only person in the apartment at the time as my other companions were outside, I let out a shriek and began to frantically search for a flashlight. I didn't even know we had one! Looking outside, I realized that we were the only building on our street that doesn't have electricity. Great! Meralco must've cut off our electricity. Until I called downstairs and the guard on duty explained that our line was connected to a different street. So begins our long vigil, waiting and hoping against hope that the electricity would come soon. You Meralco freaks just ruined a good post though. Anyhoo, im still tv repressed. I don't know what has gotten into me but i feel the need to catch on the shows that i have missed since i moved here last April. I should've stayed at home yesterday. But heck, I wouldn't be writing about this now if I did! :p
Hmmm surprising that our landline isn't a hotline tonight inspite of the fact that my family just met the bastard today. I was pretty pleased because at the moment of our arrival at my cousin's house, they paid heed to my warning not to bring in the paparazzi today. As it was only a VIP visit, I told them that we were only there for the food and nothing more. Im pretty sure that their tongues started wagging like there was no tomorrow the moment we left the house though. Trust me, I know my family well enough by now. It just feels different because now IM the center of attention and not my other cousins. Anyhoo, the bastard and i were able to get out of the house unscathed. hehehe A feat, if I should say so mahself. As usual, there's good food and an endless supply of chismis about my other relations.
Another thing: I find it funny to discover that my mom has told practically everybody in my family about my exam and interview at People Support.
Moreover, everybody was already patting my back for a job well done! hehehehe No definite dates yet on when i can start. HR says they still have to "process the application" so i still have to call them. Im looking towards December this year but lets see what happens after two weeks. My mom kinda neglected that small detail, you see! As my cousins have put it, at least i will be able to put my morphing* and bitching* skills to good use. (* Please see fine print at the bottom for MY definitions of these terms)
MORPHING- my friends and close relations are awed at my ability to sound unPinay, meaning to have this uncanny american twang that usually leaves them stumped. Stumped because they can't figure out where the hell i got it from, knowing that i grew up in the Philippines.
BITCHING- the art of nagging or oversharing one's thoughts and opinions. I usually do this whenever I am agitated or just plain bored. hehehe Oh hell, I love bitching - PERIOD! They dont call me sosy bitch for nothing. :P
