And reminisce. Of the happier times when we loved. When we were blissfully ignorant of what was yet to come. Of pleasant dreams and growing friendships. Sometimes i want to relive it. That moment of redemption that made it all happen. But then i realize that it is futile to conjure images from the past. I would only start in the same cycle i always go through. What seems like a lifetime of memories should only be like a flash before my eyes. I would never go back that road again to touch the contours of your face. I only dream that one day, the sun will once again shine thru the shafts of darkness that has enveloped my soul.
last night, i discovered that singing karaoke keeps u from getting drunk. now i know why men from beerhouses bawl to their heart's content while they are attempting to intoxicate themselves with alcohol.
ps. friends almost suceeded in getting me drunk. HEH! u wish
The ampitheater was brightly lit. As I approach the podium, I rub my sweaty palms against the pocket of my jeans. It seems like I'm walking in slow motion. Every step was like a trip to the guillotine. Not that this isn't good for me. Admission is the first step to recovery, isn't it? I took a deep breath and looked at the crowd in front of me. Careful not to go head to head with the microphone (that almost happened to me once coz I was so nervous. hehehe), I held it in front of me and started my tirade. "Uhmmm, hi. My name is Andi and I am an addict. A chat addict."
And that concludes my very short career in fictional writing. Hehehe… Sometimes I imagine myself “imprisoned” in a boot camp for chat addicts (a new breed of addicts, not necessarily a threat to society, but more of a threat to themselves). I imagine a secluded area with high walls, no phones (mobile or landline) and especially no computers. I can also imagine all the people who I will drag along with me. Heheheheh. I don’t want to name names; I might become fish feed tomorrow morning if I did.
Since I started college, I cannot imagine a day without opening my most prized possession: my computer. Chatting, I can probably survive for a week (just give me A LOT of stuff to do) but going without a pc for a week? That is not only cruel but INHUMANE. Computers are my life. It’s my chosen profession for cripe’s sake. It’s kinda weird if I didn’t at least put some dedication into it, doncha think?I assume this is just a phase that I will outgrow when the time comes. I hope that time will come soon.
ugh, i cannot believe how much cake ive eaten the whole night. I knew it! i should have stayed away from the fridge!!! This is what i hate about birthdays: all the cake u can eat. Sigh, curse me and my sweet tooth. It feels like ive eaten half the leftover cake in the fridge. Now i have to starve myself for a week. hehehe kidding! :p Guess i have to watch what i eat this week and remind myself that i want to be as physically fit as Angela Velez.
